What our customers have to say...

Working with Gemma on her handmade wedding invitations and stationery, was an absolute pleasure.  She works in the fashion industry as a designer, so understands proportions, good design and quality.  Together we came up with a new design based on a chandelier in grey with a hi-light colour of fuchsia pink.

A wallet holds the invite and reply card, has a tied ribbon at the front with bride & groom names' and wedding date.

This is what she had to say....

"We have had the pleasure of working with Elaine in connection with our wedding. Initially our requirement was for wedding invitations where Elaine went the extra mile to ensure our requirements were not only met but exceeded. The invitations were exceptionally well made and ready when promised.

We were so impressed we went back and ordered our table menus and order of service - again perfect!"  Gemma Cummings

And according to the keyboard player’s father, the couple are “over the moon”.
The couple who have been dating for 15 months, officially announced their engagement but did not give any further information about when they plan to tie the knot.
I know where they could get some handmade wedding invitations and stationery to announce the wedding day,we even have the Knightley collection named after her!

Cow parsley flowers

Cow parsley can be seen growing in English hedgerows and mainly sunny to semi shaded locations like our orchard.

I picked these today...

These flowers could make a simple wedding bouquet.  I know this sort of simplicity probably isn't to everyone's taste but hopefully this picture will inspire.

Don't the flowers go so well with the vintage dress?

At eb1 wedding invitations, we can design handmade wedding invitations to coordinate with your wedding theme.

Photographs - these can be as informal or formal as you want.

Reception - informal drinks where guests relax and mingle.

Dinner - the first meal of your married life is known as the wedding breakfast.

Cutting the cake - the couple make the first cut and the cake is taken away to be sliced and served.

First dance - the couple take to the floor. Then it's time to celebrate!

Children at weddings

We are asked by customers how to tactfully inform their guests that they would prefer the wedding to be a
child -free day.  This can be a tricky subject as you don't want to offend guests if not worded in a polite and respectful way.

One way is not to add the children's name to your handmade wedding invitations.  The guest should assume that the children are not invited.

Here are some popular phrases to add to your invites or information cards.

'With respect, we would like our special day to be an adult only occasion.'

'We would like to respectfully ask that our wedding day be for adults only.'

'We love the idea of children but not at our wedding!  So, other than newborns, we hope you can make other arrangements for your children and enjoy a break.'

'In order to keep numbers to a minimum, I'm afraid we are unable to accommodate any children at our wedding.'

'To cut down on costs, I'm afraid we can only accommodate children of immediate family members.  We hope you enjoy having a night off!'

At eb1, we always like a challenge. Yesterday, we were asked by a customer to combine our Johansson luxury style handmade wedding invitation with the Leonardo collection.

These are the results...

The customer asked for them to be in New Turq.  We added a ribbon with a bow and tag to the front of the wallet.  The invite and reply postcard were based on the format of the Leonardo - longer and thinner.

I'd love to hear your comments on the above.

donate to a charity instead of wedding favours

Instead of buying wedding favours that match your handmade wedding invitations, why not donate the money to a charity?

What about the Antony Nolan Trust that helps saves the lives of people with blood cancer? Everyday, they match remarkable donors willing to donate their blood stem cells to people who desperately need life saving transplants.

Listen to this inspiring advert....

A card could be added to each of your guest's place setting explaining which charity you have donated too.

Charity cards start at £1.10 each for between 31-100 items from

Box of Goodies

The Bride and Groom rarely get a chance to eat on the big day,
so here's a fab idea....

image via martha stewart

have a box of goodies waiting for them in their room.
Fill it with cheese straws, chocolates and nibbles.  A bottle of champagne wouldn't hurt either!

Why not insert a personalized message on a card that matches their handmade wedding invitations and stationery from eb1 wedding invitations?

Hathaway handmade wedding invitation in Burgundy

"Have been thoroughly impressed with the service that I have received from Eb1. I believe that the quality of the products, the high level of customer service and promptness of the turnaround time makes excellent value for money.

I ordered the invitations for my mother's wedding and she is delighted by the end result.
From start to finish my order was handled in a very personal and professional manner. Communication and instructions were very clear and everything was delivered on time.

Baileys Home and Garden

One of my favourite shops is Baileys Home and Garden near Ross-on Wye, Hereford.  It's my seventh heaven.

Owned by Sally and Mark Bailey who have written 3 books on their salvaged, re-purposed and rustic style. You can find literally anything here from vegetable peelers, ceramics to scented candles and sofas.  The displays are overwhelming. You can purchase a selection of their stock on-line, although visiting offers a greater variety.

I couldn't resist these printer blocks @ £3.00 a letter.  They make a great display in our office!

The Tabernacle Tea Room is open Saturday, Sundays and Bank holidays for cakes, tea and juices.

I noticed that they offer a  wedding list service. If you need handmade wedding invitations and stationery, please visit our website for more information.

We've been very busy recently, working on various reception items for our customers.  It's that time of the year when the actual wedding day is drawing closer and closer. Our brides order their handmade wedding invitations, then come back to us for 'on the day' stationery.

They generally choose....

order of service, menus,

place names,

table names/numbers,

 and a table plan.

All prices for our stationery are on our website
