new lilac lavender invite

Just playing around with some flower ideas...
these are a mixture of lavender, foxglove and cornflowers, using lots of lilac combinations and touches of green.

They would make a pretty handmade wedding invitation, perfect for a spring wedding. Prices start at £2.00 for between 31 - 100 and with your guest names printed.

What do you think of them?  I'd be really interested to hear your comments.

Love photograph

Sometimes whilst browsing through Pinterest, I stumble upon an image that makes me stop and look......this one did just that thing - I 'love' it (please excuse the pun).

From the LA based photographer, Max Wanger, his work is fun, warm and dreamy.

Could it spark off an idea for your handmade wedding invitations or wedding stationery?

wedding menu ideas

A tasteful card with all the details of the menu for your special day. An essential element to your wedding day.  Let your guests see what food and wine they will be eating.

Our Cameron collection menu with Grape satin ribbon bow.

'Chandelier' menu with fuchsia pink ribbon.

The menu is finished with a satin ribbon that follows the them of your handmade wedding invitations and is perfectly coordinated with place names and table numbers (or names).

This was a fun idea from Kate & Ed's wedding .....different boys and girls menus.  The 'boys' had steak and chips whilst the more refined 'girls' had steamed fish with new potatoes and salad.

Depending on the size of your reception tables, you could order one for each guest and lay them on their plates......gorgeous idea! (Please email us for more information on circular menus).

A wedding menu for a golden wedding anniversary with coordinating gold satin ribbon, paper insert and card cover.  Prices start at £3.00 each.

Classic order of service and table plan with cream ribbon

We're kick starting the week off, with these elegant Order of Service and Table Plan using a cream satin ribbon...

Our customers came to us with a request to produce their Order of Service and table plan in a similar vein to their handmade wedding invitations. We were able to match the 'Cream' satin ribbon perfectly. For the headings on both items, we used the font 'Castellar', while for the main body of text, we used 'Times New Roman'.

This is what they had to say....

"Paul and I wanted to thank you for our beautiful Order of Service and the stunning Table Plan.

You not only created elegant designs, but you also helped to make these personal to us by matching the ribbon colour and font of our invitations perfectly.

The Order of Service represents the most important part of the day and will be a wonderful memento for our marriage and these precious items were also packaged so carefully - its obvious you take pride in your work!

We honestly can't thank you enough".

With kindest regards, Jo & Paul

Below are the Order of Service ready to be sent.  It is very important to us that all our stationery arrives in perfect order.  We therefore do spend a lot of time making sure that all the items we send are packaged correctly with lots of tissue paper, bubble wrap and cardboard for added protection.

Pale khaki wedding invitations

We've just completed these pretty, fresh looking handmade wedding invitations for our couple's wedding in July.

They chose a new colour ribbon that we've used only a few times.  My predictions are, we're going to see a lot more of it.......it's called khaki.  Not the usual khaki that we associate with the Army but a very pretty, feminine and fresh colour, similar to the bridemaid's dresses below....

Our Cameron luxury day invites comes in a wallet and a paper tie to secure shut.

The bride and groom, also included an information card to let guests know of their plans for the day after the wedding.

For more information about this colour or any of our collection, please contact us at eb1 wedding invitations.com.

Ideas for table and seating plans

It's that time of year when wedding season is in full bloom.  Your handmade wedding invitations have been sent, the venue is booked and your thoughts turn towards the actual wedding reception.

The panic starts ...... how do we seat all our guests in an organised and quick way?  Well, the answer lies in a table or seating plan.

Here are some inspirational ideas for interesting and effective ways to do this....

  (via style me pretty)

(above) print the guest names onto card pockets add an eyelet then put the table number inside the pocket that they are to sit at.

(above) white picture frames and flowers displayed on a table. Easy and effective idea. Looks great as well.

(above) twigs in glass jars, printed labels and ribbon

(above) wine bottles and printed labels.  Add a flower themed with your wedding day.

Hungarian and German wedding invitations

We've just completed these pretty Cornflower invites for a wedding in Germany.  The bride and groom wanted some of the invites to be in German and some in Hungarian. They emailed with both wording and we fitted it to the invites.

This is what our customer had to say -

"Hello Elaine........Today we received the shipment. They are wonderful. Thank you very much for this excellent service! Best regards from Germany". Timea

Instead of a dotted line for writing their guest names on, they left the space blank.

To keep the wallet shut, a printed paper tie with the bride and groom's names, is attached around the handmade wedding invitation.
Prices start at £2.75 each.  This also includes having your guest names printed.
