Bauble place names

We've just finished these tiny weenie place names for a wedding this December. 

Measuring only 40mm x 25mm, they are smaller than our normal place names and are so cute .  Our customer asked if we could design them to match her Kidman handmade wedding invitations and to fit perfectly into baubles she has bought for her wedding tables.  

They'll look something like this when fully assembled...

Don't you agree, they are perfect for a Winter Christmas wedding?

They make a very strong statement and excellent for a beach or summer wedding.  

All our handmade wedding invitations coordinate with our table plans, table names/numbers, menus, order of service and place names.  We even have printed napkin holders with the Bride and Grooms names printed as well.

From my office window, I see our garden.  Instead of green grass, it's orange.... full of Autumn leaves!!

I guess, once all the handmade wedding invitations and stationery are finished, this will be my weekend job!!

August restaurant provides the ideal setting for a superb intimate wedding. They can accommodate up to 50 guests in the garden patio. 

Much of it's charm, described as 'urban rusticity', is due to it's distressed plaster walls, cobbled flooring and a feeling of being-there-foreverness.

Natural leaf place names

All your handmade wedding invitations are posted, guests have replied and so now is the time to be thinking of place names for your wedding day. 

With an abundance of leaves at this time of year....Autumn is definitely with us....what about this unexpected and sophisticated idea? 

Bring some nature to your tables by adding dried leaves with beautiful calligraphy written guest names. 

What's also great .... if you make a mistake, collect some more leaves, dry them and re-write!

We would always advise you to order an extra 4 or 5 blank invitations in case guests are unable to attend your wedding.  You can then write the extra guest names on the dotted line provided and post straight away.

The Life of Pi

Having just finished the excellent book .... The Life of Pi by Yann Martel, I am thrilled to see that the film of the same name will be released 20th December 2012 (UK).

For those who haven't read the book...a story of a teenage boy named Pi, a zookeeper's son from India, is shipwrecked on the Pacific Ocean with a hyena, zebra, orangutan, and a Bengal Tiger. 

It is directed by Ang Lee of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Broke back Mountain fame.

I can't wait till it's out and will undoubtedly by taking time off after all the  handmade wedding invitations and stationery are completed, to see it.
