The traditional running order for your wedding day generally is.....

Ceremony - where you become husband and wife. You will need an Order of Service which could match your handmade wedding invitations.

Photographs - these can be as informal or formal as you want.

Reception - informal drinks where guests relax and mingle.





Dinner - the first meal of your married life is known as the wedding breakfast.

Children at weddings

We are asked by customers how to tactfully inform their guests that they would prefer the wedding to be a 

child -free day.  This can be a tricky subject as you don't want to offend guests if not worded in a polite and respectful way.

One way is not to add the children's name to your handmade wedding invitations.  The guest should assume that the children are not invited.

At eb1, we always like a challenge. Yesterday, we were asked by a customer to combine our Johansson luxury style handmade wedding invitation with the Leonardo collection.

These are the results... 

The customer asked for them to be in New Turq.  We added a ribbon with a bow and tag to the front of the wallet.  The invite and reply postcard were based on the format of the Leonardo - longer and thinner.

Baileys Home and Garden

One of my favourite shops is Baileys Home and Garden near Ross-on Wye, Hereford.  It's my seventh heaven. 

Owned by Sally and Mark Bailey who have written 3 books on their salvaged, re-purposed and rustic style. You can find literally anything here from vegetable peelers, ceramics to scented candles and sofas.  The displays are overwhelming. You can purchase a selection of their stock on-line, although visiting offers a greater variety. 

I couldn't resist these printer blocks @ £3.00 a letter.  They make a great display in our office!

The Tabernacle Tea Room is open Saturday, Sundays and Bank holidays for cakes, tea and juices.
